MONROE, La. – The ULM track & field team concluded the regular season by hosting the Warhawk Classic held at the Groseclose Track at Brown Stadium on Friday and Saturday. 

During Saturday's portion of the meet, the Warhawks celebrated Senior Day and recognized 15 seniors including Khrystyan Reddic, Olaia Becerril Alvarez, Stella Konstantinidou, Olivia McCrary, Nasya Ramirez, Brianna Washington, Darshon Turk, Dylan German, Wardell Glaspie, Reid Guirlando, Brandon Lewis, Rojs Puks, Kimone Campbell, Brayden Ortiz and Teddy Gowen.  

The Warhawks swept the jumping events on the women's side after Claudine Raud-Gumiel won the long jump with a leap of 6.06m. Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi broke the facility record in the triple jump with a result of 13.33m. ULM placed on the podium in two other field events as Olaia Becerril Alvarez came in second in the long jump with a 5.93m and Sydney Lake placed second in the hammer throw at 52.31m. 

On the men's side, the Warhawks brought home five top-three finishes in distance events, including a pair of first place finishes. Juwan Blignaut finished first in the 800m with an impressive time of 1:54.16. Carlo Martinez Jamarillo crossed the finish line first in the 5000m race in 14:35.23 for first. Chase Gunn placed second in the 5000m while Rojs Puks came in third for the Warhawk sweep in the event. Puks also finished second in the 1500m to complete a successful weekend for ULM's distance runners. Santana Richardson registered a second-place finish in the 400m while Stafon Roach took second in the triple jump. Bailey Couch rounded out the top three finishes for ULM with a second-place showing in the javelin. Darshon Turk (110m Hurdles) and Jay Louison-Roe (Triple Jump) picked up third-place finishes along with the 4x100m relay team. 

The Warhawks are set to host the Sun Belt Conference Championships, held May 9-11, at Groseclose Track at Brown Stadium.
