MONROE, La. — The ULM soccer team welcomes a new class of 14 newcomers to the team. Head coach Will Roberts brings in players from all over the world, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, France, Brazil, Bermuda, Hungary, Mexico and Norway. The new Warhawks also come from a variety of states, featuring Washington and Arizona.

Jen Handy

Before ULM: Played with Manchester United's U21 squad … Represented England at the U18 level. 
Coach Roberts: "Jen is a fantastic addition to our squad, she has a very impressive background and has just come off a brilliant season with Manchester United winning the English Academy National Championship. Can't wait to see Jen get to work this season!"
 
Sandra Walbeck
D / Moenchengladbach, Germany 
Before ULM: Played with Germany's U17 team … Crowned European Champion in 2022. 
Coach Roberts: "Sandra has more experience than most incoming freshmen, she has played in the U17 World Cup and European Championships. She has also played at the highest level of competition in Germany at the club level, so we anticipate her adapting to the collegiate game quickly. She will make a big impact this season as a freshman and bring balance to the backline."
 
Beth Strutton

Before ULM: Represented England on their U17 squad … Played at Manchester City … Spent the 2023-24 season with AFC Fylde's women's team. 
Coach Roberts: "Beth's technical ability made her stand out when we were looking to add a center back to our ranks, and we believe she has only scratched the surface of her potential."  
 
Kai Douglas
F / Scarbrough, Canada / Centennial College 
Before ULM: Was Centennial's leading scorer for the 2023 season … Won Centennial's female rookie of the year in 2023. 
Coach Roberts: "Kai is a natural goal scorer, she can score in any situation. She has gained a lot of valuable experience playing in college and will adapt quickly to the NCAA. She can create opportunities all by herself and brings a new dimension to our forwards which is something we looked for when recruiting this season. We can't wait to see Kai score her first goal in a ULM jersey."
 
Leane Commaret
M / Nantes, France / Oklahoma
Before ULM: Played 119 minutes with the Sooners in 2023 … Played in France for Toulouse FC … Named R1 Team Champion. 
Coach Roberts: "Leane hit the ground running this spring after transferring in from OU, it didn't take long for her to adjust to our style of play and she demonstrated that she can play in a multitude of positions in our system which is so valuable. Her physical ability to break up play and overrun the opponent is a huge strength." 
 
Giulia Franco
M / Santos, Brazil / Bethel University
Before ULM: Played 3,003 minutes with Bethel and got the start for 38 games in two seasons. 
Coach Roberts: "Giulia is another transfer coming from the NAIA that offers something completely different in our midfield ranks. She is very skillful and can create opportunities out of nothing, she will thrive in our style of play allowing her to have the freedom to create and express herself on the ball. We're excited to see Giulia link up with our other talented midfielders and establish herself here at ULM."
 
Jaden Masters
F / Hamilton, Bermuda / Houston
Before ULM: Appeared in 15 games at Houston … Tallied a goal against SFA in 2023 … Plays for the Bermuda national team. 
Coach Roberts: "Jaden was a player that we immediately knew we wanted when she entered the portal, coming with a wealth of experience playing in the Big 12 and representing her national team. She will entertain the fans this season with her ability to score and create. Jaden has something to prove this fall and we can't wait to see her thrive in this new environment."
 
Jensyn Lins
F / Issaquah, Wash. / Washington State
Before ULM: Saw five games and 45 minutes for the Cougars … Led her team to a runner-up finish at the Washington 4A State Championship. 
Coach Roberts: "Jensyn showed us in our spring games how talented she is and the impact she will have this season. Transitioning into our system as a forward took a little time but her willingness to learn and improve allowed her to become one of our top performers at the end of the spring. She's one of our most clinical in front of goal, I'm excited to see Jensyn show everyone what she is capable of this fall." 
 

 
Bernadett Stefan
M / Budapest, Hungary / Southern Miss
Before ULM: Has represented Hungary on the national team and the U19 national team … Spent two seasons at Southern Miss … Started in 32 of 34 games, and scored three goals. 
Coach Roberts: "We are very excited about Steffy coming to ULM this fall, she is already one of the best players in the Sun Belt and we believe she has even more to offer. She can control any game from midfield and will make an immediate impact this fall. Her style of play will allow her to seamlessly transition into our system and improve our team, we can't wait to see her step up this fall!"
 
Marisol Gomez
M / Aguascalientes, Mexico / Seminole State College
Before ULM: Became a starter at Seminole State in 2023 … Tallied 16 goals and 11 assists in two seasons. 
Coach Roberts: "Marisol joined us this spring after a very successful season at Seminole State College. She is a technically gifted attacking midfielder who can contribute in big games, we're looking forward to seeing her do it at this level. She has a great personality around the team and we're very happy she decided to join ULM this spring!"
 
Odessa Barattieri
D / Tuscon, Ariz.
Before ULM: Led her high school team, Salpointe, to a 4A state championship … Competed on FC Tuscon WPSL. 
Coach Roberts: "Odessa is an exciting center back who will be joining us this fall as a true freshman. She is extremely athletic and will adapt to the physical side of D1 soccer with ease. Her personality is what every coach wants in the locker room and her willingness to learn and improve is what will allow her to develop into a top player over the next four years." 
 
Kaisa Vale
GK / Vinje, Norway
Before ULM: Represented Norway on the national team … Played in the second division for Odd FC.
Coach Roberts: "Kaisa is a very good keeper coming in from Norway, she is very mature for her age and has the ability to produce match-winning saves. Kaisa could make an impact in any team and we can't wait to get to work with her and see what she can do here at ULM!"
 
Stacey Qosja
M / London, UK / Creighton
Before ULM: Has competed on the Albanian Youth National Team since 2021 … Played 42 minutes at Creighton in 2023. 
Coach Roberts: "Stacey is a tenacious midfielder who can play in multiple positions. We're very excited that she decided to join ULM this fall because we believe she can have an immediate impact playing in our system. Stacey has a lot to offer and wants a new environment to showcase her ability, we feel this is the perfect fit for Stacey to thrive and show everyone what she is capable of."
 
Sky Hull

Before ULM: Competed for the Swindon Town Women … Featured 17 times in league and cup competitions … Scored a goal against Selsey in 2023. 
Coach Roberts: "Sky is a very well-rounded defender that can play in multiple positions in the backline. Her athleticism and technical ability will allow her to make an immediate impact this season. She has gained valuable experience in the English football league which has allowed her to mature into a fantastic defender."
