FOLEY, Ala. – Kgaogelo Moloisi took home second place overall to lead ULM Cross Country in the Sun Belt Conference Championships Friday morning.
 
The junior from Rustenberg, South Africa, posted a personal-best 24:04.62 time in the men's 8k, en route to earning the silver medal. Also placing high for the men was junior Joshua Gill and senior 
Juwan Blignaut, earning 19
th and 21
st place, respectively.
 
For the women, junior 
Maria Nikolaou was the top runner, placing 23
rd overall with a 17:57.90 time in the 5k. 
Tuva Sandberg also finished in the top 30 at 28
th place.
 
The men's team improved from last season's results, placing third in a field of nine teams behind Arkansas State and App State. The women finished in ninth out of 13 teams, also an improvement from 2024. The Mountaineers won both the men's and women's races, marking the second consecutive year the feat has been accomplished.
 
The Warhawks have two weeks in preparation before the NCAA South Central Regionals on Nov. 14 in Fayetteville, Ark.
