Kgaogelo Moloisi was named Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year, the conference revealed Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Junior transfer from Rustenburg, South Africa, had an excellent first year with the Warhawks, finishing second place overall in the Sun Belt Cross Country Championships last weekend. In the men's 8k race, he set a personal best 24:04.7 time.
 
Moloisi also represented himself as the top Warhawk runner in all three races in competed in this season, including an 11^th place finish overall in the Crimson Classic on Oct. 17.
 
Moloisi, along with the rest of the cross country team, will compete in the NCAA South Central Regionals in Fayetteville, Ark. next weekend on Friday, Nov. 14.
