SERIES HISTORY –

The Warhawks and Lady Techsters will face each other for the 60th time in their histories this week. LA Tech lead the series 48-11 and were victorious in their last trip to Monroe in 2022. However, ULM own the most recent win in the series which came in Ruston on 11/29/2023. The Warhawks ended a five-game losing streak vs. the Lady Techsters with a 60-52 win on the road behind a game high 26 points from Daisha Bradford. The last win vs. LA Tech in Monroe was on 12/8/2006.

SCOUTING THE LADY TECHSTERS –

LA Tech enter Friday's contest 0-1 on the season following a hard fought 93-81 loss vs. Arkansas in Fayetteville. The Lady Techsters return 71 percent of their scoring from last season as well as four starters. Reigning Conference USA Freshman of the Year Paris Bradley led the team in scoring last season and entered the season as the preseason CUSA Player of the Year. Fellow CUSA All-Freshman Team member Jordan Marshall also returns after posting the second most double-doubles in the nation among freshmen (11) and was third among freshmen averaging 8.6 rebounds per game. Under head coach Brooke Stoehr last season, freshmen accounted for nearly half of LA Tech's minutes played.

LEADING THE WAY –

ULM saw multiple players pace the team in different statistical categories in their win Monday vs. Eastern Michigan. Nakiyah Mays-Prince and Keshunti Nichols tied for the team lead in points with 12 and were two of four players to reach double figures in scoring. Marcavia Shavers and Asjah Inniss each posted a team best six rebounds in the win. Mays-Prince also led the team with five assists while Inniss registered a game high three steals. Abby Leahy rounded out the Warhawk leaders by recording a team two blocks.

BENCH BOOST –

The Warhawk reserves stepped up in a big way to secure the win on opening night. ULM's bench was responsible for exactly half of the team's 80 points vs. Eastern Michigan, the most points scored in a game by the reserves since last season's 117-60 season opening win vs. Central Baptist. The Warhawk bench scored 47 points in that game which was the only time they surpassed the 30-point threshold that season.

FLETCHER'S FIRST WIN –

Head coach Scotty Fletcher did not have to wait long for his first career win with ULM. Fletcher became the fourth coach in program history to claim their first win leading the Warhawks in their first ever game with the program. Fletcher joins the same group of coaches who managed to accomplish that feat within the friendly confines of Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The record for most consecutive wins by a ULM coach to begin their career is four which was set by Linda Harper to begin the 1978-79 season.

WARHAWKS AT A GLANCE –

ULM welcome 14 newcomers to the bayou for the 2025-26 season under first year head coach Scotty Fletcher. The roster features eight guards, four forwards, and two centers. The Warhawks join Indiana State as the only DI programs with zero returners this season.

The Warhawks will look to lean on past experience this year as every member of the roster enters this season as an upperclassman. The team is comprised of four juniors, two seniors, and eight graduate students. ULM are the only program in DI that is 100% made up of upperclassmen and are one of six programs with no true freshmen on their roster.

Of the 14 players on the roster, 11 have prior Division I experience, including three who are joining from other Sun Belt programs. Familiarity is also a key theme of this roster, as five players at one point or time played for Coach Fletcher at Pear River Community College.

ALL OVER THE MAP –

In addition to making up an entirely new roster, ULM's 14 players also represent a multitude of different states and places of origin. The Warhawks claim players from 11 different states, including a team high three players from the neighboring state of Mississippi. Graduate forward Nailea Nicholas grew up in Fresno, California, which would be the 12th different state represented, but was originally born in the U.S. Virgin Islands. ULM are tied with Brown University for the most states represented on their roster.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE –

ULM will have the luxury of calling on the services of several players with substantial Division I experience. Of the 11 players on the roster who have played at the DI level, eight of them have featured in 50 or more games over the course of their career. J'Mani Ingram leads the group having played in 107 career games at the DI level entering this season, followed by Asjah Inniss at 97 and Nakiyah Mays-Prince at 89.

SUN BELT SAVANTS –

Three members of this year's ULM roster are already familiar with the trials and tribulations of Sun Belt Conference play. J'Mani Ingram and Asjah Inniss both played for Appalachian State last year and helped lead the Mountaineers to the sixth seed in the conference tournament. Nakiyah Mays-Prince heavily featured for Georgia Southern as she led the team in assists (82) and steals (56) while averaging 7.4 points per game.

FANTASTIC AT FANT-EWING –

The Warhawks will look to take advantage of their schedule out of the gate as five of their first six games are at home. ULM are 101 games over .500 all-time inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum (371-270), including 7-6 last season. The last time the Warhawks began the season with four straight home games was the 2022-23 season.

THREE RIVERS' REUNION –

Friday's contest between ULM and LA Tech will provide the opportunity for a reunion between a trio of former teammates. Prior to joining their respective schools this season, ULM's Kamille Brown and LA Tech's Alexia Weaver and Kaleigh Thompson were teammates for two seasons at Three Rivers Community College. All three were part of a group of nine players from last year's team who made the jump to a DI program this year.

RIVALRY REVAMPED –

Friday's matchup between ULM and LA Tech will be the final time these programs meet as non-conference foes. LA Tech is set to begin competing in all sports as a member of the Sun Belt Conference beginning in 2026-27. LA Tech will take the spot vacated by Texas State who are competing in the SBC for the final time this season before moving to the PAC-12 next year.
