Preview: Warhawks Start Outdoor Season at McNeese

The Basics
The ULM track and field team begins the outdoor season with the McNeese Cowboy Relays in Lake Charles, La. on Saturday, March 15. The day will start at 9 a.m. and will continue throughout the day.
 
The Warhawks' competition includes the Ragin' Cajuns from the Sun Belt and in-state schools, including the host McNeese State and Southern.
 
Meet Info
Saturday's field events start with the hammer throws beginning at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Starting at 10 a.m. are the women's and men's long jump followed by both javelin events and women's pole vault at 11 a.m. The men's discus starts at noon, and at 1 p.m., the triple jumps, men's pole vault and women's shot-put events occur.  After the women's high jump at 2 p.m., the field day concludes with the men's shot-put, men's high jump, and women's discus throw.
 
The running events start at noon with the men's and women's 4x200m and 4x800m relays. The 4x100m relays start after the men's and women's 400m hurdles, and following the relays are the 3000m races. The men's and women's 100m start next, followed by the 1600m SMR. Other events for the day include the 100m hurdles for the women, the 100m hurdles for the men, the 1500m races, and the 4x400m relays.
