The Basics
The ULM outdoor track and field team takes on the second of two meets this weekend in the Bobcat Invitational from Thursday, Mar. 27 through Saturday, Mar. 29 in San Marcos, Tx.
 
Sun Belt competition included this weekend are Arkansas State, Georgia Southern, the Ragin' Cajuns, and Texas State. Northwestern State and Southern are also competing from in-state.
 
Meet Schedule
For the field events, Thursday starts with the section B discus throw at 9 a.m. with section A occurring at noon. Beginning at 1 p.m. is section B of the pole vault and long jump with the Javelin beginning at 5 p.m. On Friday, the hammer throw begins the day at 10:00 a.m. followed by the men's high jump at 12:30 p.m.
 
After section A of the long jump at 1 p.m., the day ends with section A of the pole vault, and section B of the shot-put starts at 2:30 p.m. At 10 a.m. On day three, section A of the hammer throw occurs along with the women's high jump and triple jumps. At 2:30 p.m. in section A of the shot put.
 
Running events commence at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, starting with the men's 100m hurdles, followed by the women's 110m hurdles. After the first round of the 100m, the first round of the 400m takes place, followed by the 200m. The day concludes with the distance finals, which include the 800m, 5000m, and 10000m races. Friday showcases all evening finals, featuring the 400m hurdles, 200m, and 1500m.
 
Saturday's finals include the 100m and 110m hurdles, 100m, and 400m. Day three of the running events also have the relay races with the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
