NEW ORLEANS – ULM senior outfielder Isaiah Walker was named Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference Monday (May 19) following a vote by the league's head coaches.
 
From Houston, Texas, Walker led ULM in several statistical categories including batting average (.343), hits (70), doubles (13), triples (4), home runs (6) and stolen bases (27). Walker's 27 stolen bases paced the Sun Belt Conference and ranks eighth all-time in ULM history for a single season.
 
The UTSA transfer had three or more hits in 11 games this season and registered 23 multi-hit games to lead the Warhawks. In two games versus Northwestern State in April, Walker homered three times, including a two-home run game in ULM's 6-5 walk-off win over the Demons at Lou St. Amant Field.
 
In the field, Walker made several spectacular plays in center field, including a diving catch at Coastal Carolina that was featured on D1 Baseball's top plays of the week. Walker made two outfield assists and committed just one error in 139 chances for a fielding percentage of .993.
 
Walker is ULM's first player to earn postseason Sun Belt All-Conference recognition since outfielder Mason Holt was named First Team All-SBC in 2022.
