MONROE, La. – Maria Nikalaou snatched first place for the women in the 5k at the ULM Cross Country Invitational hosted by ULM Cross Country Friday evening. Her result in the race was an 18:55.06 time.
The Warhawks had runners in each of the top nine placements with freshmen
Tuva Sandberg and
Rebekka Flotho following in second and third place, respectively.
Lenja Wiechers and
Alexia Tine rounded out the top five in the women's event.
For the men, Issac Cupp was the top performer in the men's 8k, running a 26:43.78 time, which qualified for second place.
Chase Gunn and
River Richard also placed in the top five, ranking third and fourth, respectively.
ULM returns to the trail next weekend in Magnolia, Ark., at the Lois Davis Invitational on Friday, September 19.
