NEW ORLEANS – ULM senior forward
Skylar Blaise was voted Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as selected by the league's head coaches and communications directors.
Blaise had an outstanding week leading the Warhawk offense, posting two goals and an assist to accumulate five points. Blaise first logged an assist in the first goal against Marshall, scoring her own goal unassisted less than a minute later to tie things up. On Sunday against Arkansas State, Blaise scored the game winner with the lone goal of the game. The senior leads the Sun Belt in game-winning goals (3), second in goals (6) and third in shots on goal (16).
This is the second player of the week this season, after
Libby Holmes received Defensive Player of the Week on September 9. The last time ULM received more than one Player of the Week honor in a single season was 2022.
Blaise and the ULM soccer team will hit the road this weekend, taking on Coastal Carolina at 6 p.m. CT on Friday (Sept. 26).
