MONROE, La. – The ULM women's basketball team (7-8, 2-4 Sun Belt) are prepped to host Troy (13-3, 4-1 Sun Belt) for their first matchup of the season. Tip-off at Fant-Ewing Coliseum is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday (Jan. 14). The Warhawks are coming off a 73-67 loss at South Alabama.

SERIES HISTORY –

ULM and the Trojans are set to meet for the 34th time in their histories. The Trojans lead the series 19-14 overall. The teams split the season series last year with the home side winning each time. The Warhawks managed to snap a 14-game losing streak against the Trojans with an 84-73 win last year inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum. ULM are 8-8 at home against Troy and are seeking back-to-back wins in the series for the first time since 2014.Â

SCOUTING THE TROJANS–Â

The Trojans enter Wednesday's game with a 13-3 record overall and a 4-1 record in the Sun Belt after an 86-64 win against Arkansas State. Troy are led by two of the top three rebounders in the conference in last year's 1st-Team All-Sun Belt selection Zay Dyer (11.6) and senior Fortuna Ngnawo (9.6) both of whom average at least 12.4 points per game. As a team, the Trojans are second in the nation averaging 50.6 rebounds per game. Troy also boast one of the top scoring offenses in the country as they are 13th in DI averaging 85.6 points per game.Â

ULM feature a balanced scoring attack as five different players average at least 7.1 points per game.Â
J'Mani Ingram leads the team averaging 12.3 points per game, followed by

 Marcavia Shavers averages 8.7 rebounds per game to lead the team while

 Keshunti Nichols has recorded a team high seven blocks.Â
Jazmine Jackson and
 Asjah Inniss stand as the team's top options from three-point range as both have knocked down at least 20 attempts from beyond the arc this season.

INGRAM IGNITES FOR 30 –
Graduate student
 J'Mani Ingram established a new career high vs. Arkansas State as she scored 30 points on a personal-best 12-for-18 shooting from the field. Ingram is the first Warhawk to score 30 this season, the last occurring in 2025 by
Jakayla Johnson. Ingram's point total against the Red Wolves is the most by a Warhawk player in a game this season and is a part of an ongoing double-digit scoring streak of eight games.

SHAVERS SHINES TO START NEW YEAR –

 Marcavia Shavers became the first Warhawk player this season to record a double-double when she did so on New Years Day vs. South Alabama. Shavers scored a career-high 17 points behind a career-best eight baskets while also pulling down 17 rebounds. Shavers followed that performance with her third career double-double and her eighth career game of double-digit rebounds as she scored 12 points while recording a career-high 21 rebounds vs. Arkansas State. The 21 rebounds are the most tallied by a Sun Belt player this season. Shavers went on to post her third-straight double-double in the win at the Ragin' Cajuns scoring 12 points and grabbing 16 boards.
OUTSTANDING ON THE OFFENSIVE GLASS –Â

The Warhawks completed their game at Indiana with a 19-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was ULM's second-best output on the offensive glass of the season-behind their 23 offensive rebounds at Sam Houston. The last time the Warhawks held an opponent to one offensive rebound was against UT Arlington in 2021. ULM are fifth in the Sun Belt and are ranked 51st in the nation in offensive rebounding, averaging 14.5 offensive rebounds per game.Â

FREQUENTLY FORCING TURNOVERS –Â

ULM continued their proficient season of forcing mistakes out of their opponents last Saturday as they forced a season high 29 turnovers against South Alabama. The Warhawks are ranked inside the top-45 in all of Division I with 20.8 turnovers forced per game. ULM have seen three different players establish career highs for steals in a game this year.  Keshunti Nichols recorded four steals vs. Louisiana Tech, junior
 Kamille Brown posted five steals vs. Grambling State and graduate student
 Asia Barclay notched five steals at Alabama. As a team, the Warhawks are inside the top-50 teams in Division I averaging 10.9 steals per game having recorded a season high of 20 last time out against the Jaguars.

JACKSON FROM THREE –
Redshirt junior
 Jazmine Jackson has established herself as a major threat from beyond the arc for the Warhawks. Jackson recorded her third game of the season with five three-pointers at Texas State as she finished the game with a team-leading 17 points. The Jacksonville, Fla. native also accomplished the feat in the win against Lamar when she scored a career-high 25 points including hitting five-of-six attempts from beyond the arc. Jackson became the first ULM player this season to break the 20-point mark.

MEMORABLE MILESTONES –
Graduate student
 Asjah Inniss achieved a pair of impressive career benchmarks vs. Grambling State. On a three-point shot late in the second quarter, Inniss would record her 500th career point in what was her 100th career game. Inniss became the fourth player on the Warhawks to reach 500 career points.
 Katelyn Chomko also reached a career milestone in style as her final three-pointer vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff brought her to an even 100 points for her career. After her 10-point performance at South Alabama,
 J'Mani Ingram is now 80 points away from reaching 1,000 for her career.
