MONROE, La. -Â The ULM women's basketball team (8-9, 3-5 Sun Belt) are set to wrap up their homestand this week as they host James Madison (13-7, 5-3 Sun Belt) and Marshall (15-5, 6-2 Sun Belt). Tip-off for Thursday's game against the Dukes is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT (Jan. 22) while Friday's game against the Thundering Herd is set for 2 p.m. CT (Jan. 23). The Warhawks are coming off a resounding 102- 58 win vs. the Ragin' Cajuns.
SERIES HISTORY –
ULM and the Dukes are set to meet for the third time in their histories. JMU have won both of the previous matchups by scores of 85-79 in Monroe and 79-51 last year in Harrisonburg, Va. The Dukes are one of three current Sun Belt members who the Warhawks have not yet beaten in their history with App. State and Old Dominion being the others.
ULM and Marshall will meet only for the fifth time in their histories on Friday. The Warhawks took the first meeting 69-7 in Huntington but the Thundering Herd have won the last three matchups including both meetings so far in Monroe. All four of the previous games between the two sides have been decided by nine points or less.

SCOUTING THE DUKES –
James Madison enter Thursday's contest with a 13-7 record overall and are coming off of a 67-60 win vs. Georgia Southern. The Dukes are led by reigning Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year Peyton McDaniel who leads the conference averaging 18.1 points per game. McDaniel is joined by last year's Third-Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection Ashanti Barnes who averages 14.3 PPG and a team high 9.4 rebounds per game. As a team, JMU have done an excellent job of keeping opponents off the glass as they sit inside the top-25 teams in the nation averaging 42.8 rebounds per game.
SCOUTING THE THUNDERING HERD –
Marshall enter this week with a 15-5 record overall but are coming off of their second straight loss 84-82 in overtime vs. Old Dominion. The Thundering Herd are led by senior Timaya Lewis-Eutsey who is second in the Sun Belt Conference averaging 17.1 points per game and first averaging 3.6 steals per game. Offensively, Marshall have been potent from long range as they are 25th in the nation averaging 8.9 three-pointers per game. On the defensive side, the Thundering Herd are second in the Sun Belt holding their opponents to 61.4 points per game thanks in large part to the 16th best steals per game average in the country at 12.7.
HISTORIC ROUTE OF RAGIN' CAJUNS –
Saturday's 102-58 win by ULM over their rivals proved to be extra special for a number of reasons. The 44-point margin is the Warhawks' biggest win over the Cajuns in program history and also represents the first time ULM have hung 100 points or more on a Sun Belt team. In addition to the 102 points, the Warhawks also established new single-game season highs for points off turnovers (42), second-chance points (40) and offensive rebounds (31) while also recording their fewest number of turnovers (6).
LEADING THE WAY –
ULM feature a balanced scoring attack as four different players average at least 8.4 points per game.
J'Mani Ingram leads the team averaging 12.6 points per game, followed by
Nakiyah Mays-Prince (9.6),
Marcavia Shavers (8.6) and
Asjah Inniss (8.4).
Marcavia Shavers averages 8.4 rebounds per game to lead the team while
Nakiyah Mays-Prince has posted a team-best average of 4.2 assists per game.
Asjah Inniss leads the team in steals with 35 while
Keshunti Nichols has recorded a team high eight blocks.
Jazmine Jackson and
Asjah Inniss stand as the team's top options from three-point range as both have knocked down 24 attempts from beyond the arc this season.
INGRAM IGNITES FOR 30 –

J'Mani Ingram established a new career high vs. Arkansas State as she scored 30 points on a personal-best 12-for-18 shooting from the field. Ingram is the first Warhawk to score 30 this season, the last occurring in 2025 by
Jakayla Johnson. Ingram's point total against the Red Wolves is the most by a Warhawk player in a game this season and is a part of an ongoing double-digit scoring streak of 10 games.
SHAVERS SHINES TO START NEW YEAR –
Graduate student
Marcavia Shavers became the first Warhawk player this season to record a double-double when she did so on New Years Day vs. South Alabama. Shavers scored a career-high 17 points behind a career-best eight baskets while also pulling down 17 rebounds. Shavers followed that performance with her third career double-double and her eighth career game of double-digit rebounds as she scored 12 points while recording a career-high 21 rebounds vs. Arkansas State. The 21 rebounds are the most tallied by a Sun Belt player this season. Shavers is now up to four double-doubles on the season after posting 10 points and 10 rebounds on Wednesday vs. Troy.
MARVELOUS MAYS-PRINCE –
Senior
Nakiyah Mays-Prince has been on an impressive run of form for the Warhawks in recent games. The Chicago, Ill. native established a new career high of 23 points while tying her career high of six steals vs. Troy before posting her first double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 assists against the Cajuns. Mays-Prince is the first ULM player to dish out 10 assists in a game since
Daisha Bradford against Georgia Southern on 3/6/2024. The senior point guard has now recorded at least 15 points, four assists and four steals in three straight games.
OUTSTANDING ON THE OFFENSIVE GLASS –
The Warhawks completed their game at Indiana with a 19-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. The last time the Warhawks held an opponent to one offensive rebound was against UT Arlington in 2021. ULM are now third in the Sun Belt and are ranked 24th in the nation in offensive rebounding, averaging 15.5 offensive rebounds per game after a season high of 31 last Saturday against the Cajuns.
FREQUENTLY FORCING TURNOVERS –
ULM continued their proficient season of forcing mistakes out of their opponents at South Alabama as they forced a season high 29 turnovers. The Warhawks are ranked inside the top-35 in all of Division I with 21.1 turnovers forced per game. ULM have seen three different players establish new career highs for steals in a game this year. Keshunti Nichols recorded four steals vs. Louisiana Tech, junior
Kamille Brown posted five steals vs. Grambling State and graduate student
Asia Barclay notched five steals at Alabama. As a team, the Warhawks are inside the top-40 teams in Division I averaging 11.1 steals per game having recorded a season high of 20 also against the Jaguars.
MEMORABLE MILESTONES –

Asjah Inniss achieved a pair of impressive career benchmarks vs. Grambling State. On a three-point shot late in the second quarter, Inniss would record her 500th career point in what was her 100th career game. Inniss became the fourth player on the Warhawks to reach 500 career points.
Katelyn Chomko also reached a career milestone in style as her final three-pointer vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff brought her to an even 100 points for her career. After her 12-point performance vs. the Cajuns,
J'Mani Ingram is now 50 points away from reaching 1,000 for her career.
