CARLSBAD, Calif. – Johanna Sjursen of ULM women's golf completed her first round of stroke play at the NCAA National Championship on Friday (May 22) with a score of 78 (+6).
Sjursen bogeyed in her first hole, following with a par and a birdie to even things up. 12 holes carding even scores, including the conclusion of six par holes, held Sjursen at her score. Two bogeys, a double bogey and a birdie brought on a 39 (+3) on the front nine before a double bogey and a bogey brought on another 39 (+3) on the back nine.Â
Oklahoma State's Ellie Bushnell and Stanford's Megha Ganne hold the individual lead with scores of 68 (-4).Â
Sjursen will tee off again at 2:02 p.m. PT / 4:02 p.m. CT on Saturday (May 23) for the second round at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa.
