MONROE, La. — The 2025 ULM Softball schedule has been released, just 88 days before the first game of the season. Along with Sun Belt opponents, the Warhawks will take on in-state foes such as LSU, Louisiana Tech and Grambling State. The softball team will also host two tournaments in February.
 
"We are so excited about the upcoming season," said head coach Molly Fichtner. "Our players will get the opportunity to play some of the best in the country and a very competitive Sun Belt schedule."
 
The season will open on the road, with a two-tournament road test. The Warhawks will head to Houston to take on Lamar, Houston Christian and Houston on Feb. 7-9 before coming closer to home by competing at the Louisiana Tech Classic on Feb. 14-16. 
 
The home opener will be on Feb. 18, as the softball team will take on Jackson State in a midweek game. The Warhawks are undefeated against Jackson State and are looking to extend a 13-game win streak. The following weekend, from Feb. 20-23, ULM will host the Warhawk Invitational, which will include Stephen F. Austin, Houston Christian, Southern and Eastern Illinois. 
 
ULM will hit the road again, heading south for Northwestern State on Feb. 26. To round out February, the Warhawks will host their second tournament, the Best on the Bayou tournament from Feb. 28 to March 2. 
 
A midweek matchup against McNeese on March 4 at home will mark the start of a week-long road test for ULM. The Warhawks will travel to LSU on March 5, then to compete at a tournament hosted by North Alabama March 7-9. To round out the road trip, ULM will travel to Grambling State to take on the Tigers on March 11.
 
ULM will open conference play at home, as Georgia State will travel to Monroe for a weekend series March 14-16. On March 19, the Warhawks will hit the road again to visit Southeastern Louisiana for another midweek game. ULM will then remain in southern Louisiana to take on the Ragin' Cajuns in Lafayette March 21-23. 
 
The Warhawks will return home to close out the month of March and take on Troy on March 28-20. They will then remain home to compete against Northwestern State on April 2. A Sun Belt road trip opens April for ULM, as the team will travel to Southern Miss for a weekend series April 4-6 and to Appalachian State, where they will travel for the first time since 2021, April 11-13. 
 
The softball team will then host Georgia Southern on April 17-19, before hosting Grambling State on April 22. The Warhawks will then travel to South Alabama for a weekend series April 25-27. To close out conference and regular season play, ULM will host reigning Sun Belt champions Texas State on May 1-3. 
 
The Sun Belt Softball Championship will take place in Troy, Alabama from May 7-10, 2025. The top 10 teams from the Sun Belt will qualify for the tournament.
