• The ULM softball team, winners of six-straight Sun Belt Conference games, is set to take on Troy in its next conference series beginning on Friday (April 12) and concluding on Sunday (April 14). ULM's six-game conference winning streak is its longest since the 2002 season. The Warhawks are off to the best 40-game start since 2017, which was the last winning season for ULM.

• The Warhawks notched three comeback wins in their last series versus Georgia Southern to complete their second conference sweep. In game one, ULM posted six runs in the fourth inning after Layla Thompson drilled a three-run home run and Meagan Brown hit an RBI double to highlight the big inning for ULM. In game two, Victoria Abrams went the distance and allowed no earned runs in seven innings and the Warhawks broke through with two runs in the seventh as Madison Blount's RBI hit gave ULM the walkoff win over Georgia Southern. In the series finale, Gianni Hulett threw eight shutout innings out of the bullpen and ULM finished the sweep with another walkoff win when Blount scored on an RBI fielder's choice by Carys Platt.

• Platt leads the Warhawks with a .387 batting average and 48 hits. The junior from Fellsmere, Fla. ranks sixth in the SBC in batting average and fourth with 16 stolen bases.  Platt played two seasons at Florida Southwestern State College and led her team to a pair of NJCCA National Championships. Her outfield counterpart, Lourdes Bacon has accumulated 47 hits, which is the seventh-highest total in the Sun Belt. The UTSA transfer ranks 31st in the country with 19 stolen bases and is second in the SBC. Bacon earned All-SBC Second Team honors in 2022. As a team, ULM leads the conference in total stolen bases (72) and second in stolen bases per game (1.80/game).

• LSU transfer Victoria Abrams is 10-7 in 18 starts this season and has pitched two complete-game shutouts, including a five-inning perfect game in ULM's run-rule win over Green Bay in February. Abrams received the 2020 Medallion Award (LSU Mikey Award) and was named to the 2020 SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll during her career in Baton Rouge. Sophomore pitcher Maddie Nichols enters the series ranked fifth in the conference with 93 strikeouts. The West Monroe, La., native has tossed five complete games, including a pair of seven-inning wins versus Lindenwood and Syracuse. Redshirt junior Gianni Hulett has thrown 17.2 consecutive innings without surrendering a run and ranks third in the conference and 43rd in the country with three saves.

• Senior Andie Edwards leads ULM with 31 RBIs and has hit nine sacrifice flys so far this season, which is the highest number in the nation. Edwards has started her senior campaign hitting .268 with 11 extra-base hits, including an RBI double at LSU. Freshman outfielder Meagan Brown, has powered 13 extra-base hits and has driven in 29 RBIs in her first 39 games.

• The freshman duo of Brooklin Lippert and Elle Carter have both been key contributors to ULM's success this season. Lippert, a utility player from Loganville, Ga., has hit .275 with 22 hits and 20 runs scored. Carter, a graduate of Neville High School, has made 32 starts for the Warhawks and has tallied six extra-base hits and 11 RBIs in her first collegiate season.

• Troy won the series in Monroe last season after dropping the first game to the Warhawks. Abrams tossed a complete-game, one-hit shutout and shut down the Trojans' bats. Blount recorded an RBI single as part of ULM's scoring. The Trojans won game two, 7-2, and took game three, 9-2.
