MONROE, La. — ULM Baseball's 2026 schedule has been announced, featuring 31 games at The Lou. The Warhawks are looking to find success under first-year head coach Ford Pemberton.
"We're excited about the 2026 season being right around the corner," said Pemberton. "Over 30 home games is something that was very important to me as I want the city of Monroe and Northeast Louisiana to have as many opportunities as possible to see the product on the field that will play a hard-nosed, gritty, relentless style of baseball that our fans and supporters will be proud of."
ULM will open the season on February 13 with a four-game weekend series against Central Arkansas, including a doubleheader on February 14. The Warhawks will then hit the road for a midweek against Northwestern State. The lone tournament played by ULM will be the Maestri Classic, hosted by New Orleans from February 20 to 22, as the Warhawks compete against the Privateers, Northern Kentucky and Alabama A&M.
A few more midweek games at home will be seen against Grambling State (Feb. 24) and Alcorn State (Feb. 25), before a weekend series has the Warhawks hosting Western Illinois. ULM will take on Western Illinois for the first time since 2014 and the first time ever in Monroe. A two-game stretch to open March will see ULM hosting Southeastern as well (March 3-4).
The Warhawks will travel to Arlington, Texas to face former Sun Belt foe UT Arlington from March 6-8 before opening Sun Belt competition at The Lou. ULM will host Texas State in their final series as conference opponents from March 13-15 in Monroe. A midweek against New Orleans (March 18) then sets up a weekend in Mobile, traveling to South Alabama from March 20 to 22.
Another midweek at home against Northwestern State (March 24) sets up a week of traveling to a few in-state foes. The Warhawks will first travel to Lafayette to face the Ragin' Cajuns (March 27-29) before taking on Louisiana Tech in Ruston on March 31. To open the month of April, ULM will host Georgia State in the Panthers' first trip to The Lou since 2022. Mississippi Valley State will travel to Monroe two times this season, first in a midweek on April 7 and again on May 5.
ULM then heads east to go up against App State (April 10-12), as the Warhawks look to continue a four-game win streak in Boone dating back to 2021. The Arkansas State Red Wolves will then make the trip to Monroe from April 17 to 19 before ULM travels to Natchitoches to face Northwestern State (April 21).
James Madison makes the trip to The Lou for the first time ever (April 24-26), as the Warhawks follow things up with a midweek against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs at home on April 28. ULM then travels to Hattiesburg to play Southern Miss to open the month of May (May 1-3). Mississippi Valley State returns to Monroe before the Warhawks head east on their final road trip of the year. ULM will travel to Marshall for the first time in program history from May 8 to 10.
To conclude the regular season, ULM Baseball will host Troy from May 14 to 16 at The Lou.
The Sun Belt Baseball Championship will take place May 20-25 at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Ala.
"Opening weekend presenting us with four games at The Lou will make for a great weekend of baseball," said Pemberton. "Both road series prior to conference play will be drivable distance for our fans and local families. As always, our conference slate will be a great challenge that we are looking forward to taking head-on. We have a lot work to do, but will be prepared come mid-February."
Season tickets for baseball will be available at a later date.
