RUSTON, La. – The ULM tennis team (2-1) will hit the road this week, taking on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (7-2) on Tuesday (Feb. 18) afternoon, starting at noon in Ruston. This is a rescheduled match from earlier in the season, when inclement weather forced the two teams to postpone play.
The Warhawks are playing the Bulldogs for the fifth straight year, last playing them in Monroe, where Louisiana Tech claimed the win, 4-0. ULM is looking to break a three-match losing skid in the series as well, dating back to 2022.
The Warhawks are coming off another win at Heard Stadium, leaving them undefeated at home in 2025. ULM defeated Alcorn State 4-0 in Monroe on Friday (Feb. 14) afternoon, taking the doubles point and Vanja Cado claiming the lone singles win, with a forfeit giving the Warhawks the winning point.
The Bulldogs are looking to extend their six-match win streak, most recently defeated North Texas in Ruston, 4-3. Louisiana Tech has already claimed three shutouts so far this season, defeating Austin Peay 6-0 and Southeast Missouri 4-0.
The ULM tennis team will remain on the road, traveling to Natchitoches, La. to take on the Northwestern State Demons on Thursday (Feb. 20). First serve is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
