JACKSON, Miss. – The ULM tennis team (2-3) will be hitting the road to take on Jackson State (1-6) on Saturday (March 1) afternoon, starting at 2 p.m. in Jackson, Miss. The Warhawks held on against LSU Shreveport, ultimately falling in the final singles matches, 3-4.
The Warhawks will be taking on the Tigers for the first time since 2019, where the Warhawks claimed the 4-1 win in Jackson. ULM has a six-match win streak against Jackson State, having made the trip to Jackson the last three meetings.
Most recently, ULM faced LSU Shreveport at home, falling 3-4 in the dual match. Lucia Jorrin Fernandez, Mariia Iordanova and Vanja Cado claimed singles wins for the Warhawks, with the Pilots picking up the doubles point and three singles matches for the win.
The Warhawks will return home to open conference play, taking on Arkansas State on Saturday (March 8). First serve at Heard Stadium is scheduled for 10 a.m.
