MONROE, La. – The ULM tennis team (3-3) will be opening conference play at home against Arkansas State (7-4). First pitch against the Red Wolves will be Monday (March 9) morning at 10 a.m. The Warhawks are coming off a win on the road to Jackson State, while the Red Wolves claimed a shutout win at home over Lamar. The Warhawks will be taking on the Red Wolves in Monroe for the second-straight year. The last meeting between the two teams was March 16, 2024, when the Red Wolves defeated ULM 0-4. ULM has not beaten the Red Wolves in Monroe since 2022, a 4-1 defeat.
Most recently, the Warhawks edged the Jackson State Tigers on the road, 4-3. After claiming the doubles point, Mariam Hatem, Vanja Cado and Mariia Iordanova each won their singles matches to solidify the victory.
The Red Wolves shut out Lamar most recently, 4-0. Arkansas State also claimed their doubles point, before claiming three singles points to leave the others unfinished.
Next up, the Warhawks will hit the road to take on Texas State in San Marcos on Friday (March 14). First serve against the Bobcats is scheduled for 1 p.m.
