Women's Golf Preview: Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship

The Warhawks tee off on Monday at the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championships at The Lakewood Club in Point Clear, Ala.

The Basics
The ULM women's golf team preps for the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship, which takes place Monday, April 14 through Thursday, April 17 at The Lakewood Club in Point Clear, Ala.

This marks the second year the SBC Women's Golf Championship will be held at The Lakewood Golf Club's Dogwood Course. The 54-hole tournament features three rounds of stroke play on the par-72, 6,106-yard course. All four rounds of the championship will be broadcast live on ESPN+, with Dan McDonald and and Danny Jones on the call, and live results will be updated on Scoreboard.

The championship will begin with three rounds of stroke play, April 14-16 at 8 a.m. CT each day in a split-tee format with six teams teeing off on No. 1 and seven teams starting at No. 10. The Warhawks tee off at 8 a.m. from hole one and are paired with Georgia Southern and South Alabama.

Following 54 holes of stroke play, top four teams will advance to match play on Thursday, April 17 with the No. 1 and No. 4 seed beginning at hole No. 1 and the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds teeing off at hole No. 10 at 7:30 am. The championship match will follow the conclusion of the semifinal matches.

About the Warhawks
The Warhawks placed second in the final event of the regular season at the ULM Invitational as Daniela Campillo collected her first-career individual championship with a score of 207 (-9) and was subsequently named Sun Belt Women's Golfer of the Week. ULM captured its second consecutive Great River Cup title back in February with match play wins over Utah Valley, Arkansas State and James Madison. Andrysova has been named SBC Women's Golfer of the Week twice this spring after finishing 11th at the Westbrook Invitational with a score of 210 (-6) and repeated after winning her second career individual championship at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate with a score of 213 (-3). Last time on the course, ULM rallied with two strong rounds and battled back to earn fourth place at the Pinetree Women's Collegiate in Georgia. Two Warhawks shot under par at the first event of the spring season with Isabel Mas Pitarch posting a career-low tournament of -6 (210) and Daniela Campillo finishing at -4 (212). 

The Warhawks brought home hardware twice in the fall, with a first-place finish at the Lady Red Wolves Classic and a second-place finish at the UAB Hoover Invitational. The Warhawks completed the fall with a 35-22-1 record and a stroke differential of -654 versus all opponents.

Campillo recorded a pair of top 10 finishes and was runner up at the UAB Hoover Invitational with an overall score of -3 (213). Campillo turned in five scorecards in the red during her fall season and also finished tied for 10th at The Ally. Anna Andrysova won medalist honors at the Lady Red Wolves Classic and fired her lowest round of the fall in the opening round with a 66 (-6). Mas Pitarch arrived in a big way for the Warhawks and competed in all four tournaments. Mas Pitarch shot her lowest round at the UAB Hoover Invitational with a 69 (-3) and tallied three rounds in the red and two par rounds during the fall. She placed tied for eighth in her highest finish at the Lady Red Wolves Classic. Freshman Tessa Ion also participated at all four fall events and recorded one round at par. Her best finish was an +8 (224) three-round score at the Lady Red Wolves Classic. Rounding out this week's lineup is Matilda Svahn, a Texas State transfer who shot an even-par round at the Lady Red Wolves Classic to help the Warhawks capture the title.

ULM is looking to capture its first SBC title since 2023 when head coach Rachel Pollock led ULM to its first-ever Sun Belt Championship in a playoff versus Texas State.
