• The ULM baseball team starts a four-game roadtrip with a three-game weekend series at No. 20 Troy from Thursday, April 17 through Saturday, April 19.

The Warhawks ahave won three straight contests and seven of their last 10 games, with the most recent coming aginst Louisiana Tech, where they won with a 8-3 score. The Trojans took home a series win on the road at James Madison last weekend, winning the final two games of the series. 

Thursday matchup features the 50th meeting between the two schools, with Troy leading the all-time series 36-13. The Trojans won last season's series, taking two out of three games versus the Warhawks in Monroe.

• ULM head coach Michael Federico is in his eighth season with the Warhawks in 2025. He has led the Warhawks to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in three of the last six seasons that the championship was contested. He was hired as head coach at ULM prior to the 2018 season and served as the club's pitching coach from 2018-22. During the 2024 season, Federico led the Warhawks to wins over NCAA regional finalists Coastal Carolina and Southern Miss as part of their 25 win season, which was the most since 2021. Two ULM pitchers that Federico coached signed free agent contracts with Major League Baseball organizations including Parker Seay (New York Yankees) and Chipper Menard (Baltimore Orioles).

• Senior outfielder Isaiah Walker leads the team with a .336 batting average and has scored 30 runs with 18 stolen bases. Bryce Blaser has a .324 batting average with 12 doubles on the season. Henry Garcia Jr. leads with 6 home runs and 35 RBI. 

• On the mound, Sophomore RHP Daniel Gonzalez is the leading starting pitcher with an ERA of 5.03. He has a 3-1 record in 2025 with 27 strikeouts with hitters averaging .238 against him. Brennan Eager is the featured midweek starter with a 4-2 record posting a 2.73 ERA. In the bullpen, Josh Gregoire is the top performer. He has a 0.78 ERA in 23.0 innings pitched with four saves on the year along with 26 strikeouts and a .164 batting average against him. 
 

STATISTICS RANKINGS SUMMARY

As a team, ULM checks in the top three of the Sun Belt Conference leaderboard in stolen bases per game (4th, 1.44), total stolen bases (4th, 49) and triples (4th, 10). In ULM's 11-1 win over Alcorn State earlier this season, the Warhawks broke the single-game program record for stolen bases and swiped 14 bags versus the Braves.

Isaiah Walker has stolen 18 bases this season which is second in the Sun Belt. Walker also checks in second in stolen bases per game (0.51) and fifth in triples (3) among SBC rankings. Colby Lunsford's three triples are tied for fifth in the league.

On the mound, Joey Cirelli is seventh in the conference in walks allowed per nine innings (2.20) and fifth in the SBC in strikeout-to-walk ratio at 4.43. Josh Gregoire is one of the most dominant relievers in the SBC and has recorded four saves this season, which is tied for sixth in the league.
