• The ULM baseball team returns to The Lou this weekend for a Sun Belt Conference series versus Old Dominion Friday-Sunday (April 25-27).

The Warhawks were scheduled to complete their season series versus Louisiana Tech on Wednesday night, but the game was postponed due to thunderstorms in the Ruston area. Last weekend, after dropping the first two games of the series to No. 20 Troy, ULM salvaged game three with a 7-3 win over the Trojans, marking the Warhawks' first ranked win of the season. Old Dominion arrives in Monroe after losing the rubber match of a three-game set to the Ragin' Cajuns in Norfolk. The first two games of the series between the Monarchs and the Cajuns were decided by one run with each team splitting the first two, but the Cajuns run-ruled ODU in the series finale.

This marks the third series all-time between the Warhawks and the Monarchs, with ODU holding a 5-1 advantage in the head-to-head matchup. The last time these two teams met in Monroe, the Monarchs swept ULM on the first weekend of conference play in 2023. The Warhawks grinded out a 5-4 win in 11 innings for the first win over ODU after Bryce Blaser drove in the go-ahead run with an RBI double on April 27, 2024 in Norfolk.

• ULM head coach Michael Federico is in his eighth season with the Warhawks in 2025. He has led the Warhawks to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in three of the last six seasons that the championship was contested. He was hired as head coach at ULM prior to the 2018 season and served as the club's pitching coach from 2018-22.

• Senior outfielder Isaiah Walker leads the team with a .331 batting average and has scored 31 runs with 19 stolen bases. Bryce Blaser has a .308 batting average with 12 doubles on the season. Henry Garcia Jr. leads with 6 home runs and 36 RBI. 

• On the mound, freshman RHP Brennan Eager is the leading starting pitcher with an ERA of 2.68. He has a 4-2 record in 2025 with 34 strikeouts. In the bullpen, Josh Gregoire is the top performer. He has a 1.42 ERA in 25.1 innings pitched with four saves on the year along with 30 strikeouts and a .183 batting average against him. 
 

RANKINGS SUMMARY

As a team, ULM leads the Sun Belt Conference with 14 triples and is 20th in the nation. Leading the charge in triples for ULM is Isaiah Walker, who has four triples this season. Colby Lunsford has added a trio of triples. Walker also has recorded 19 stolen bases, which is the second-highest in the Sun Belt.

On the mound, four Warhawks have recorded saves this season, with Josh Gregoire leading the way with four saves, which ranks seventh in the league. Brandon Brewer has added three saves while Aidan Haynes, Landon Grigg and Joey Cirelli have all picked up one save apiece.
