• The ULM baseball team concludes its three-game season series with Northwestern State on Tuesday, April 29 at 6 p.m. from Lou St. Amant Field in Monroe.

The Warhawks lost the series last weekend vs. Old Dominion. They took the first game with a late-rally 7-6 victory but fell in the last two games 5-9 and an extra innings 6-9 loss. The Demons are coming off of a 3-1 week which includes a weekend series win over Stephen F. Austin and a run-rule victory in Baton Rouge vs. No. 7 LSU.

ULM has control of the all-time series record with a 117-116 lead. It took the lead in the series this season with two midweek wins from April 8 through April 9.

• ULM head coach Michael Federico is in his eighth season with the Warhawks in 2025. He has led the Warhawks to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in three of the last six seasons that the championship was contested. He was hired as head coach at ULM prior to the 2018 season and served as the club's pitching coach from 2018-22. During the 2024 season, Federico led the Warhawks to wins over NCAA regional finalists Coastal Carolina and Southern Miss as part of their 25 win season, which was the most since 2021. Two ULM pitchers that Federico coached signed free agent contracts with Major League Baseball organizations including Parker Seay (New York Yankees) and Chipper Menard (Baltimore Orioles).

• Senior outfielder Isaiah Walker leads the team with a .337 batting average and has scored 34 runs with 20 stolen bases. Bryce Blaser has a .295 batting average with 12 doubles on the season. Henry Garcia Jr. leads with 6 home runs and 37 RBI. 

• On the mound, freshman RHP Brennan Eager is the leading starting pitcher with an ERA of 2.90. He has a 4-2 record in 2025 with 36 strikeouts. In the bullpen, Josh Gregoire is the top performer. He has a 1.21 ERA in 29.2 innings pitched with five saves on the year along with 36 strikeouts and a .175 batting average against him. 

RANKINGS SUMMARY

Isaiah Walker has stolen 20 bases this season, which is just one shy behind Old Dominion's Kyle Edwards for the top mark in the Sun Belt Conference. Walker also ranks fourth in the league with four triples while Colby Lunsford is sixth with three triples.

Josh Gregoire is one of the most dominant relief pitchers in the Sun Belt and has made five saves this year, which is tied for fifth in the SBC. Brandon Brewer has recorded three saves while Aidan Haynes, Joey Cirelli and Landon Grigg each have one save.

The Warhawks start a six-game Sun Belt Conference road trip on Friday (May 2) at Texas State and will play three games in San Marcos before heading east to Conway, S.C. for a series at nationally-ranked Coastal Carolina.
