Baseball Preview: App State

The Warhawks continue their homestand this weekend with three games versus the Mountaineers.

FIRST PITCH

• The ULM baseball team continues Sun Belt play this weekend with a three-game series vs. App State from Friday, April 4 through Sunday, April 6 at Lou St. Amant Field.

The Warhawks are coming off a midweek victory vs. Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday with an 8-4 final and have started conference play with a 2-7 record. The Mountaineers have lost two straight after losing the final game of the series win over Old Dominon and a midweek matchup versus Western Carolina on the road.

App State holds the all-time series lead with a 10-9 record. The Warhawks swept won both contests played in 2023 and won games one and two before game three was canceled. This marks the Mountaineers' first trip to Monroe since the 2022 season, when App State won the series. ULM holds a 4-5 record playing at home versus App State.

• The games will air on KMLB.com and the TuneIn app with the Voice of the Warhawks, Mike Hammett, on the call. Live streaming will be available on ESPN+.

• Redshirt Junior outfielder Henry Garcia Jr. ties the team high with a .327 batting average and has scored 20 runs with ten stolen bases. Colby Lunsford returned to the lineup last weekend and has a .324 batting average on the season. Isaiah Walker leads 16 stolen bags with a .327 average.
