MONROE, La. – The ULM tennis team (3-8, 0-7 Sun Belt) will be hitting the road this weekend, taking on Georgia State (3-11, 2-4 Sun Belt) on Friday (April 4) at 1 p.m. and Troy (8-7, 3-3 Sun Belt) on Sunday (April 6) at 10 a.m.
The Warhawks are looking to bounce back after a tough 4-0 loss to App State last Sunday (March 30). ULM battled in singles play, but the Mountaineers clinched the doubles point and secured three singles victories to seal the win.
Georgia State enters Friday's matchup after a 2-4 loss at Georgia Southern last weekend. After clinching the doubles point and a singles match, the Eagles secured four singles points for the win. The Panthers are hosting the Warhawks for the second-straight season, as ULM fell 0-7 in Atlanta last season.Â
Troy follows on Sunday, coming off 4-2 victory at Coastal Carolina last weekend. After dropping the doubles point, the Trojans found four singles wins for the win. Last season, Troy also hosted ULM, winning 7-0 over the Warhawks.Â
Following the road trip, the Warhawks will return home for a weekend of nonconference and Sun Belt action. ULM will host UTEP on Friday (April 11) at 10 a.m. and South Alabama on Saturday at 10 a.m.
