FIRST PITCH
• The ULM baseball team will wrap up the 2025 season with a three-game conference series versus South Alabama from Thursday, May 15 through Saturday, May 17 at Lou St. Amant Field.
Thursday night's matchup is the 61st meeting all-time between the Warhawks and Jaguars, with South Alabama leading the all-time series, 43-17. After the two teams split the first two games of the series last year in Mobile, the Jaguars outlasted the Warhawks, 4-3, in 13 innings to conclude the series. The last time the Warhawks and Jaguars played a series at Lou St. Amant Field, the Jags rallied back to win the final two games of the series after ULM claimed a win in game one in 2023.
ULM will recognize 12 senior players before Friday night's Senior Day game, which includes Adam Tubbs, Barham White, Brandon Brewer, Colby Lunsford, Hollis Huff, Isaiah Walker, Jack Clark, Joey Cirelli, Marcus Aranda, Michelle Artzberger, Tony Lindwedel and Zach Shaw in addition to student manager Joby Guthrie.
Friday night's game is also Lou St. Amant Day, and the first 1,000 Warhawk fans at the ballpark will receive a Lou St. Amant Bobblehead, courtesy of JTB Rentals. American Idol's star Clara Rae will sing the national anthem before Friday night's game.
• All three games of the series will air on KMLB.com and the TuneIn app with the Voice of the Warhawks, Mike Hammett, on the call. Live streaming will be available on ESPN+.
• The Jaguars arrive in Monroe following a series win over App State in the penultimate weekend of the regular season and are two games behind Arkansas State and App State in the conference standings for the final spot in the conference tournament. Sophomore catcher Duncan Mathews holds the third-highest on base percentage in the conference at 0.491. On the mound, starter Mitchell Heer's 3.66 ERA is good for ninth in the SBC.
• Senior outfielder Isaiah Walker leads the team with a .332 batting average and has scored 39 runs to go along with a league-high 26 stolen bases. Bryce Blaser has a .287 batting average with 13 doubles and a pair of home runs on the season. Henry Garcia Jr. leads ULM with six home runs and 40 RBI.Â
• On the mound, freshman RHP Brennan Eager is the leading starting pitcher with an ERA of 3.70. He has a 4-4 record in his freshman campaign and has struck out 42 batters. In the bullpen, Josh Gregoire has recorded a 2.53 ERA in 32.0 innings pitched and has made five saves on the year to go along with 37 strikeouts and a .193 batting average against him
