• The ULM baseball team is set to play its final road conference series of the season at No. 14 Coastal Carolina from Thursday (May 8) continuing through Saturday (May 10) at Springs Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C.

This weekend's series marks the Warhawks' first trip to Conway since the 2022 season, when ULM went 1-1-1 versus the Chanticleers after winning game one 3-2 and dropping game two, 9-4. Game three of the series featured a wild 17-17 draw after an eight-inning slugfest was called due to the travel curfew expiring. The two teams last played a three-game series in 2024 at Lou St. Amant Field, with the Warhawks claiming game one, 11-3, before the Chants captured wins in games two and three.

Thursday's game is the 18th all-time meeting between ULM and CCU, with the Chanticleers leading the series, 14-2-1.

• Coming off a season sweep over No. 9 Clemson, Coastal Carolina enters this week ranked No. 14 in the latest D1Baseball.com Top 25 poll. The Chants have won eight-straight games, including Sun Belt Conference series sweeps over James Madison and App State. CCU has won six-straight SBC series. Junior catcher Caden Bodine from Haddon Heights, N.J. leads the Chants with a .328 batting average and has belted 17 extra-base hits and holds a .927 OPS entering this weekend's series. On the mound, redshirt sophomore pitcher Jacob Morrison has posted an 8-0 record to go along with a 2.00 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 67.1 innings pitched.

• Senior outfielder Isaiah Walker leads the team with a .337 batting average and has scored 37 runs to go along with a league-high 24 stolen bases. Bryce Blaser has a .286 batting average with 12 doubles and a pair of home runs on the season. Henry Garcia Jr. leads ULM with six home runs and 39 RBI. 

• On the mound, freshman RHP Brennan Eager is the leading starting pitcher with an ERA of 3.22. He has a 4-3 record in his freshman campaign and has struck out 38 batters. In the bullpen, Josh Gregoire has recorded a 2.35 ERA in 30.2 innings pitched and has made five saves on the year to go along with 36 strikeouts and a .192 batting average against him. 

RANKINGS SUMMARY

Isaiah Walker has claimed the league lead with stolen 24 bases this season and ranks 46th in the nation. Walker also ranks fourth in the league with four triples while Colby Lunsford is sixth with three triples.

Josh Gregoire is one of the most dominant relief pitchers in the Sun Belt and has made five saves this year, which is tied for sixth in the SBC. Brandon Brewer has recorded three saves while Aidan Haynes, Joey Cirelli and Landon Grigg each have one save.
