CHOUDRANT, La. – Junior
Louis Anceaux opened the 2025-26 season with a Top-10 finish, placing eighth on the leaderboard and leading the Warhawks at the Argent Financial Classic at Squire Creek Country Club.
Anceaux turned in a pair of scorecards under par in his final two rounds of the tournament. His round two score was five under par, tied for second in the second round. The Groslay, France, native finished 54 holes seven under par to tie for eighth.
As a team, ULM posted scores of 287-291-291 (+3, +3, -1) in the three rounds, finishing 13
th of 17 teams.
Amilkar Bhana shot an even-par 72 in the first and third rounds, shooting two-over for a cumulative +2 and finishing tied for 52nd.
Theodor Berg also shot even-par for the first and third rounds, finishing +3 overall.
Caden Lester (+7) and
Dakota Cunningham (+10) rounded out the field for ULM in the first tournament of 2025-26.
Houston claimed the win at Squire Creek, with a cumulative score of -32. South Alabama claimed second with a total score of -26, with Southern Miss (-18), Memphis (-16) and Rice (-16) rounding out the top five. Houston's Hudson Weibel and Ragin' Cajun Malan Potgieter tied for the top spot on the leaderboard, both posting 13 under-par. Joshua Hill of South Alabama (-12) and Yixiang Wang of Memphis (-12) tied for third place.
The Warhawks will continue the fall season on September 22, traveling to Destin, Florida for the Destin Collegiate, hosted by Texas State.
