MONROE, La. – Both Warhawk basketball teams will be participating in the third MAC-SBC Challenge, with the men's basketball team hosting Ball State and the women's team traveling to Buffalo on February 7, in matchups jointly announced by the Mid-American Conference and Sun Belt Conference Tuesday (January 6) morning.
 
The men's basketball matchup against the Cardinals will be the fifth in series history, while the women's against the Bulls will be the first series matchup in program history.
 
The MAC-SBC Challenge comes at the recommendation of the Sun Belt's strategic planning committees for men's and women's basketball, as the conference looks to return to its roots and bolster its success on the hardwood.

Each MAC-SBC Challenge game will be carried on an ESPN platform.
