SAN ANTONIO – The ULM men's golf team completed play at the Military City Collegiate on Tuesday (Feb. 24), finishing 10th of 12 teams with a score of 907 (299, 291, 317). The UTSA-hosted tournament proved difficult for much of the field, but
Louis Anceaux and
Amilkar Bhana were able to find success.
Anceaux led the team with a score of 218, shooting one-under in the first and second rounds to finish fifth on the leaderboard.
Amilkar Bhana carded a birdie in the first round, scoring a 71 in the second to finish with a 222 (+4, -1, +3). He finished 11th on the leaderboard.
Caden Lester shot 17-over (+6, +1, +10) to finish 52nd,
Mason Comeaux close behind at 59th (+5, +4, +12).
Dakota Cunningham rounded out the field for the Warhawks, shooting a 244 and sitting at 67th on the leaderboard.
Host UTSA carded a team score of +17 to claim the title, Roadrunner Joshua Hong named as the individual champion. Hong was the only player to finish under par, Abilene Christian's Thomas Buisson and UT Arlington's Arth Sinha close behind as they both shot even.Â
The Warhawks will be back in action on March 2, traveling to Lake Charles, Louisiana to compete in the Golden Nugget Classic. The Lamar-hosted tournament will run from March 2 to March 3.
