MONROE, La. – Leaving their marks with career performances, ULM football's Ajalen Holley and volleyball's Marcela Araya earned Warhawk Male and Female of the Week accolades, respectively.

Holley, a redshirt freshman, set a trio of career-highs as he helped ULM improve to 5-4 overall and 3-1 in the Sun Belt Conference with a 49-37 win at Troy on Halloween. Holley's new career-bests came in receptions (four), receiving yards (74) and touchdown receptions (two).

His 60-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter gave ULM an early 7-0 lead. The pitch-and-catch from Kolton Browning was the longest pass play from Browning to any receiver this season. Halfway through the second quarter, Holley again found the endzone, this time on a six yard pass from Browning to put the Warhawks ahead by 14 points at 21-7.

On the season, the Hot Springs, Ark., native has made nine catches for 146 yards and four touchdowns. His four receiving scores are tied for the team lead.

Junior libero Araya was voted as the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season and the fifth time in her career. She became the first ULM player to win multiple weekly awards from the league in a season.

Araya began the weekend with a 16-dig performance at UALR on Friday night and followed it up with a conference and school record 46 digs Saturday afternoon in the Warhawks' 3-2 win over Troy.  She tallied 62 digs over the weekend and averaged a blistering 7.75 digs per set.

The San Jose, Costa Rica product has a season total of 450 digs, which is the second-best individual performance in ULM history.  She is also averaging 4.46 digs per set on the season.
