Three time Southland Conference Long Jump Champion. Four time All-American, twice indoors and twice outdoors. Won back to back NCAA indoor long jump titles in 1987 and 1988. NLU record holder in the indoor (26-8 1/4) and outdoor (27-7 1/4) long jump.
