Was the first ULM player to make First Team All-American twice. He played nose guard and linebacker and was named Associated Press All-American in 1973 and 1974. More than 30 years after his final hame, he still held or shared school records for most first-hit tackles in a season with 113 in 1975, most first-hit tackles in a game with 14 vs. Southeastern Louisiana in 1975, and most blocked field goals in a season with three in 1975 and blocked in a game with two vs. West Texas in 1975. His career tackle total of 323 was a career record at the time and still ranks in the top 10.
