MONROE, La. – Mason Seaborn from the ULM men's golf program and Ke'Andrea Wilson from track & field were named Warhawk Male and Female of the week, respectively, announced Tuesday.
Seaborn led ULM with a three-round score of 216 over the weekend in the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas. He shot an astounding 65 in the second round and finished in sixth place in individual competition.
The Montrose, Ala., native guided the Warhawks to a fourth-place team finish out of 17 teams. The only programs to finish ahead of ULM were No. 8 Houston, No. 14 Oklahoma and No. 25 Baylor. The Warhawks finished 28 strokes ahead of Texas State and 49 in front of UT Arlington.
Seaborn and the Warhawks will be back on the greens on Monday, March 24 when they travel to the First Tee Tournament in Little Rock, Ark.
Wilson shined in ULM's first outdoor meet of the season on Saturday at the Southern Miss Invitational. She won the 100m with a time of 12.23 to beat out 29 competitors.
In her next race, the Lancaster, Texas product took second out of 30 in the 200m, crossing the finish line in 25.30. She headlined the track & field program's strong start that saw the Warhawks notch a top-10 finish in nearly every event they competed in.
ULM will look to duplicate its performance on Saturday when it competes in the Jim Mize Invitational in Ruston, La.
